Stairlift donations made to two local families in need
Following on from our “Stair Crow” creation featured at Heather Scarecrow Festival, we've successfully donated not one but two stairlifts to local families in need.
After receiving many “heart-warming” entries about why someone should win the stairlift, we strauggled to pick one winner. We decided to award two winners and carried out the installations on Friday 7th September.
The winners were....
Mr Holt, Leicestershire
Mr Holt is a grand old age of 90 and is very independent chap. Mr Holt has started to suffer with problems with his knees over the last few months and has found his extremely steep stairs more and more difficult to manage. The straight stairlift that we have installed will now make his life so much easier.
Mr Rastall, Hinckley
Mr Rastall has been in rehabilitation for several months now, and is looking forward to getting back home to his family. Due to his lack of mobility, Mr Rastall would have had to sleep downstairs, away from his wife and the comfort of his own bed and upstairs amenities. Now that he has his new stairlift installed, he can get up and down without discomfort and does not have the worry of his restricted mobility around his home.
We are delighted to have been able to install these stairlifts and help local families to gain more comfort and reassurance in their home.
